iCandy Interactive Ltd (ASX:ICI) chairman and executive director Lau Kin Wai speaks to Proactive Investors about the mobile and digital entertainment company’s partnership with Alibaba business unit 9Games to publish an existing iCandy game in the booming Chinese mobile game market.
“The game being published is a music-centric game that 9Games will localise and work with us to publish into the Chinese market,” says Lau.
He continues, “iCandy will provide all the necessary technical support to work with 9Games … this is the first time for iCandy to take one of our games into the mainland Chinese market.”
Lau notes that the Chinese mobile game market is one of the biggest in the world, with nearly US$20 billion in revenue last year and a forecast US$25 billion by 2020.
